How to convert the size of screw and nut?

1. The nominal size of the screw and nut that can be screwed together is a unified size, such as: M6, M10, M12, M20...

2. "M" stands for triangular thread, which is our common screw.

Take M10 as an example:

3. The largest diameter of the threaded part of the screw is 10, which is the largest diameter of the threaded part.

4. The maximum diameter of the threaded part of the nut is 10, which is the maximum diameter in the thread groove.

Bolts indicate that the specifications are usually combined with diameter and length, while nuts only say diameter. For example, hexagon socket bolt M8X30 corresponds to nut M8; hexagon bolt M8X30 corresponds to nut M8.
