Custom Aluminum Single Conductor Mechanical Lug with Set Screw for Power Distribution Equipment
This mechanical lug provides a direct connection between an electrical conductor and a mounting surface. The cable is inserted into the side opening and held by the top set screw, while the flat palm is fastened to a busbar, terminal block or equipment connection point.
The solid metal body combines the conductor chamber, threaded screw position and mounting palm in one compact component. Its dimensions can be adjusted to suit different conductor sizes, installation spaces and mounting-hole arrangements.
Connection Geometry
The performance of a mechanical lug depends on more than its external appearance. The conductor opening must match the cable range, the screw must apply sufficient clamping force, and the mounting palm must provide suitable contact area for the electrical assembly.
