Hexagon Socket Countersunk Head Screws have a hexagonal recess and are driven using a hexagonal wrench or insert bit, which is more efficient due to higher cam-out resistance and the ability to be used with a power driver.
They have a countersunk head and can be flush-mounted in the target housing for an aesthetically pleasing finish. Using a power driver in the installation allows them to be tightened faster and also allows for higher torques to be achieved.
Hexagon socket countersunk head screws can be used in applications where protrusion of the screw head is not permitted, but the countersunk head does reduce the maximum load capacity of the fastener.
